With the fully digital teaching materials Mathematics 1-4 and Mathematics 5-7 in Norwegian, Ukrainian and Russian, students get:

  • Bilingual mathematics education
  • Using their native language actively in mathematics education
  • Opportunity to participate in learning conversations
  • Work systematically with both mathematics and language learning
  • Natural speech in Ukrainian and Russian

Bilingual mathematics education

Mathematics 1-4 and Mathematics 5-7 are fully digital, interactive and self-correcting learning materials that are now available in Ukrainian and Russian in addition to Norwegian. The learning materials are highly visual so that the subject matter is intuitive and easy to understand.

Students switch seamlessly between Norwegian, Ukrainian and Russian by clicking on the desired language via the flags in the margin as often as they wish. The mother tongue becomes a resource that is incorporated into the teaching and gives students the opportunity to compare their mother tongue with Norwegian.

Inclusive mathematics with classmates

The teaching materials contain many varied tasks. The tasks are interactive and suitable for work both alone and in groups, including learning-promoting games where students must communicate to solve the task.

The Ukrainian students work with the same content as their classmates, switching seamlessly between languages. This allows the students to participate in learning activities with the class and learn Norwegian faster in an inclusive learning environment. Perhaps this gives the Norwegian students more oral practice in math?

Work systematically with subject and language training

The subject teaching in Mathematics 1-4 and Mathematics 5-7 is systematically structured and works thoroughly with conceptual learning. Through visual, interactive tasks and immediate feedback, students will constantly know what they are mastering and what they need to practice more.

Easy follow-up with Min.Kunnskaps learning analysis

The teacher has access to all the students' answers via the learning analysis. In this way, the teacher can see what level the student is at and easily follow up with guidance conversations. The learning analysis is language-independent. It is the same for both Norwegian and Ukrainian students.
