In Syklus 8-10, students explore, wonder about, and discuss science topics. Syklus consists of short subject texts followed by visual support in the form of educational films or animations.
Through hundreds of varied, interactive tasks, students explore and work with the subject matter. The tasks are self-correcting and provide students with feedback in the form of hints if they get stuck.
Syklus 8-10 address the following topics, among others:
-Cells in various organisms, their structure and function
-Photosynthesis, cellular respiration and the carbon cycle
-Earth's evolution and plate tectonics
-Evolution and the development of biodiversity
-The body's immune system, vaccines and public health
-The nervous system, the hormonal system and their influence
-Substances and chemical reactions
-Energy and conservation of energy
Differentiation and overview of students' work
Teachers can differentiate and assign tasks from the content to individual students, to groups or to entire classes. The learning tool gives teachers an overview of the student's work, which makes it easier to follow up on individual students.
Norwegian, Ukrainian and Russian in the same learning material
The teaching material has been translated into Ukrainian and Russian. Students can easily switch between Norwegian, Ukrainian and Russian in one and the same teaching material. The bilingual subject teaching ensures academic progression while the students learn Norwegian.
Syklus 5-7 contain many varied tasks. Through the language adaptation, Norwegian and Ukrainian students can easily collaborate and explore science together. This makes inclusion easier and strengthens language learning.
