NorskPluss Placement Test is used to determine the level of new students entering a class or starting a course, and to diagnose students who have participated in systematic Norwegian language instruction.
NorskPluss Placement Test is available in both Bokmål and Nynorsk .

NorskPluss Placement Test
What level are the students at when they enter the class? What language skills have they acquired? How is their listening comprehension?
NorskPluss Placement Test is used to determine the level of new students entering a class or starting a course, and to diagnose students who have participated in systematic Norwegian language instruction. The test is based on the reference levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
It consists of 3 levels:
- A1 (which corresponds to level 1 in the Basic Norwegian Curriculum)
- A2 (level 2)
- B1 (level 3)
What does it contain?
• Tests for levels 1-3 in basic Norwegian
• Multiple choice questions
• Writing assignments
• Listening tasks
• Student reports
• Teacher's guide
How long does it take?
It will normally take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete a test that includes several levels and a written answer.
When the school orders the NorskPluss Placement Test, you will be sent fictitious users who are used in the actual implementation of the placement test. This is to ensure that students do not have access to the placement test before they need it.
You will also receive guidance for the placement test and a solution.
