NorskPluss Alfa has the following letter program:
SAMOTENILRDUFK Å PGH Æ B Ø JYVCWQXZ
It is especially important that students learn S, A, M, and O in this order because the first letters build on each other in knowledge and progression. Otherwise, there is no need to follow the letter program as it is set up.
Being sure of the connection between sound and letter v is the basic foundation for reading and writing. Therefore, each letter is presented in its own chapters with many and varied practice tasks, such as:
- Recognition of sounds
- Recognition of sounds in words
- Contraction of sounds into words
- Exercises with short and long vowels
- Writing rules for unsound words
